The Head of Propam Polri Inspector General Ferdy Sambo confirmed that his party carried out legal proceedings against the Bripda CS police officer who shot dead a member of the Indonesian Army and two civilians at a cafe in Cengkareng Barat, West Jakarta on Thursday (25/2) in the morning.
Due to his actions, Bripda CS who was a member of the Kalideres Police was immediately taken to the Directorate General of Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya. “The suspect Bripda CS is a member of the Kalideres Police, now a criminal process is being carried out by Polda Metro Jaya,” Ferdy said in a statement received by JPNN, Thursday.
Ferdy said, according to Government Regulation Number 1 of 2003 Articles 11, 12, 13, the Bid Propam Polda Metro Jaya and the Div Propam Polri will conduct a process of dishonorable dismissal (PTDH).
“The PTDH process is carried out through a session of the commission for the professional code of ethics of the State Police of the Republic of Indonesia as referred to in Article 35 of Law Number 2 of 2002,” said Ferdy.
Furthermore, the National Police Propam conducts a re-check of firearm holder procedures in all levels and regions, including psychological tests, shooting drills, and records of behavior of members of the Police.
“Propam Polri will also curb the prohibition of Polri members from entering entertainment venues and drinking alcohol, including drug abuse,” Ferdy added.
