The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto held a meeting
The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi in Tokyo, Japan, on Sunday (28/3) local time.
This meeting is the first face-to-face meeting of the two Defense Ministers after previously having held virtual talks.
During this meeting, said Defense Minister Spokesman Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, in a press release in Jakarta, Monday, the two defense ministers exchanged views on issues of regional security and defense cooperation and reaffirmed efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, said Dahnil, Minister Prabowo conveyed his views, used diplomacy and dialogue in resolving disputes between countries, and upholding the rule of law in handling each dispute.
The two Defense Ministers, said Dahnil, also agreed to hold a “military to military” dialogue, to continue consulting on defense and technology cooperation.
“As well as further enhancing ‘service to service’ cooperation, as well as welcoming the ‘2 + 2’ meeting on March 30 for the first time in 5 years,” said Dahnil. (henri / pn / ant)
