Currently, the Bali Police are investigating the involvement of Andrew’s girlfriend, Ekaterina Trubkina, in connection with the suspicion of helping Interpol fugitives escape from the Special Class I Immigration Office of TPI Ngurah Rai, last Thursday (11/2).

“What is suspected and meant in this case is that his partner (Ekaterina) will apply Article 221 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. This is related to help avoiding investigations and so on,” said Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirkrimum) of the Bali Police, Kombes Pol Djuhandani Rahardjo Puro when met at the office Immigration Ngurah Rai, Bali, Wednesday (24/2).

He said he would carry out further investigations and see whether Ekaterina Trubkina’s actions were categorized as hiding the perpetrators and so on. “Because currently the red notice comes from Russia, we will study Article 221 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with the threat of a penalty as high as nine months. With this threat we do not carry out detention,” he said.
